Round 1:
The table or the floor is set. All take position. The ash tray, the eatables and the glasses are all in the right place, carefully set at minimum distance to every one. The conversation is light, and sensible. The glasses are filled exactly to the same level; every one waits for every other person to be ready with the glass and then - Cheers.
Round 2:
The positions shift a little. Every one has by now, stretched. People begin to concentrate on people who are very near by. One to one conversations are more prevalent.
Round 3-4:
Ash is rarely put in the ash tray. Every body is speaking at the same time. The conversations are loud. The eatables, the ash tray and the glasses are all misplaced. The level of alcohol poured for individuals is different. Suddenly 2 people are missing because they are on their phones talking to girlfriends and the conversations are invariable about a girl.
Round 5-6:
No body remembers this. There is no order anymore. The pegs, glasses, the eatables are all thrown at random. Any round shaped object in front of you is the ash tray. The conversation is very perspective and no one understands anyone else. One person has quietly gone off to sleep. The music is not selective and No one is listening to it anymore.
Round 7:
The WORLD is your ashtray!!!! Cigarettes are lit at the wrong end. There are no more conversations, just random musings. Absolute denial sets in. All conversations are "Why should I get up?", "Why is that guy staring at me", "I am completely all right", "No one questions me", "I am all set for a fight". Mixing is no longer done. You forgot weather you have added soda or not.
Round 7.5-8:
A dull humming in the head. There is a bad feeling in the stomach. There is nothing more to think. All you want to do it sleep, but you can’t. You see the person near you and wonder who he is. For all the questions asked, smile is the only answer.
Round 9-~:
It’s dark every where.
So, Drink Responsibly!
